Alexander Lukashenko

Khartoum, Jan.17(SUNA)-Sudan and Belarus reiterated keenness to cement joint cooperation in all fields and that they have strong political will for joint work and for establishing strategic relations for serving the aspired interests.

President of the Republic, Field Marshal, Omer Al-Bashir said in joint press conference with his Belarusian counterpart held at the end of their talks, Tuesday, said the visit of President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus to Sudan was historic and gave strong impetus to relations between the two countries in all fields and issues of commen interest.
He said agreement was reached to hold annual meetings at level of the Presidents of the two countries to follow-up the two sides agreed upon, pointing oxut that the coming period would witness signing of further agreements and exchange of visits between the wto sides.

President Lukashenko, on his part, said he was ready to visit Khartoum every year and that a roadmap should be made to achieve the aspired the goals as well as holding regular joint meetings to follow-up implementation of the agreements for serving the common interests and according to specific plan.

The Belarusian President announced that the coming period would witness great development in relations between the two countries in all fields, saying we will reap many fruits for both sides, calling for consolidating cooperation in economic field and establishment of joint industrial areas.

He said the relations between Belarus and Sudan witnessed remarkable progress over the past period, referring to efforts for establishing strategic relations with Sudan .
President Lukashenko pledged better development of the relations within two or three years during which fruits of joint meetings would be gained.

The Belarussian President, Alexander Lukashenko has affirmed willingness to work for development of Sudanese-Belarussian relations to realize the joint economic aims .
President Lukashenko, addressing the inauguration session of the Sudanese-Belarussian joint talks which held, Tuesday, at the Presidential Palace and co-chaired by the two Presidents, has pointed out that his country and Sudan will do many things to serve their interests, lauding Sudan's stance supporting Belarus in international forums .
'Belorussia's relations with Sudan witnessed remarkable progress on military and agricultural levels and Belorussia will contribute to building of roads, industry, agriculture and development of Sudanese factories in the context of joint cooperation' President Lukashenko indicated .

He announced his keenness to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries and strengthening of economic cooperation via exchange of visits between the businessmen in the two countries .

The President of the Republic, Field Marshal, Omer Al-Basher has affirmed that the visit of the Belarusian President, Alexander Lukashenko to Sudan will contribute to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries which were supported, during the past years, by setting up of effective mechanisms to follow up the implementation of a number of agreements reached by the two countries and the joint programs and projects .

President Al-Basher, addressing the inaugural session of the Sudanese-Belarusian talks, at the Presidential Palace which chaired by the Presidents of the two countries, referred to the provision of the political will to strengthen and develop trade and economic relations between the two sides .

He said the signing of the Friendship and Cooperation Agreement between the two countries, constitutes legal frame work of the existing cooperation, expressing welcome to the Belarusian businessmen and companies to invest in Sudan and benefit from the promising opportunities .

The President directed the concerned circles and institutions to provide the special necessary facilitations for Belorussia in this connection.

Al-Basher has expressed Sudan's appreciation to the Belarusian stances supporting Sudan regional and international issues, lauding the efforts being exerted by the Joint Ministerial Committee and the political Consultation Committee between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs in the two countries as well as exchanging of visits, at all levels, a matter that, contributed to strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the two countries in all domains .

The President indicated to the close cooperation between Sudan and Belarus in military and security fields, affirming his keenness to sponsor this cooperation during the coming stage .
