The Commander of the Rapid Support Forces RSF Gen Mohamed Hamdan Himaidity, has vowed to deal decisively with rebel remnants and unruly elements and the mercenaries who are now fighting in Libya and try to infiltrate into the Sudan.
Himaidity has stressed that his forces are fully prepared and ready to handle those elements who are active along the borderline areas.
He commended the efforts of the presidency of the Republic and its supervision of the RSF, saying he remains committed to implementation of all that is contained in the law of these forces.
Himaidity has pointed out during his address of the graduation ceremony of the RSF batch of 1487 troops that the RSF would also handle the unruly elements in Darfur region.
He also said the decision of the presidency that firearms would only be in possession of the Sudanese armed forces and other regular forces and that the RSF would see to it that this decision is fully implemented in Darfur
He urged the remnants of the rebel movements to join the peace process and to work for achieving peace and stability in the country.
He underlined the RSF have a social responsibility to remedy the negative impacts left by the war through provision of basic services to the people in the states of Darfur.
