EASF Inter-African Rapid Intervention Forces Praised Sudan’s Role and Contribution

  Director-General of the East African Standby Force (EASF) Inter-African Rapid Intervention Forces, Abdullah Omar, praised the Government of Sudan and its strong contribution to the African force, which seeks to maintain peace, stability and security in the East African region. He said in a press statement on the occasion of the launching of the East African Standby Force(EASF) Field Training Conference to be held in Sudan in November this year that Sudan has provided the Organization with cadres of military leadership and it is regular in meet all its requirements, In addition to its good reception and generous hospitality to all activities in this regard. He pointed out that the conference, which was launched in the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Monday, aims to prepare for the preparatory exercises for the force, which is scheduled to be held in the Gibeat in the Red Sea state in October. Omar said that the exercise, which includes the Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Seychelles, the Comoros and Djibouti, seeks within the framework of the AU strategy to ensure that the force and its ability to coordinate between the forces of countries that have several languages and developed to work with some in the homogeneity of do its mission and be ready to respond to the crisis in the region. His Excellency expected all the success in the training field within the framework of preparing this force to contribute to stability, peace and security in the region. State Minister of the Ministry of Defense, Ali Mohamed Salem, who heads the Council of Ministers of Defense and the Chiefs of Staff of the Organization for the current session, renewed the interest of Sudan to the expected exercise and planning and overcoming all obstacles to be implemented, and seek to give the tasks and responsibilities for the AU Regional mechanism
