Libyan Organizations Condemn Kidnappings By Darfurian Rebels
Aug.11 2017 - Libyan civil society organizations have condemned the kidnappings, banditry and terror caused to travelers on the road between Kufra and the north cities by gangs, mercenaries of the Darfurian movements and the Chadian Armed opposition.
According to SMC sources, civil society organizations described in a statement these acts as “terrorism” because its terrifying the citizens inside and outside the Kufra and Tazerbo regions, demanding the Libyan Armed Forces to protect civilians, curb the phenomenon of barbarism and fuel smuggling to neighboring countries.
One of the most prominent organizations signing the statement is the Independence Association, the sons of the Kufra, Free Libya, Itlala Foundation and Kufra Elyoum.
The organizations urge state institutions, human rights and media to intervene urgently and called for condemnation the terror caused by the rebels.
Civil society organizations described in its statement the silence of the legitimate authorities of the state as a dangerous matter that entails shedding the blood of defenseless civilians.
The dean of the Kufra municipality, Al-Mabrook Al-Gazawi, has recently declared war on the militia movements of Darfur and the Chadian Armed opposition and directed security patrols and warplanes to move in all directions and hit any force present in the region.
