October 16, 2017 - The race, organised under the directives of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and the instructions of Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, and President of the Camel Racing Federation, was attended by Major General Abdul Rahman Sadiq al-Mahdi Assistant President of the Republic of Sudan, and Mohammed Humaid Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Sudan, and a number of top Sudanese executives along with large crowds of spectators.
