Khartoum, June.12 (SUNA) - The Foreign Ministry Wednesday summoned the British Am-bassador to Khartoum, Mr. Irfan Siddiq. over his unbalanced and repeated tweets on Twitter on the current developments and events in Sudan. This came when the Foreign Ministry acting Assistant Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Ambassador Omar Dahab, summoned the British ambassador to express Sudan’s concern and reservations over Irfan’s statements over the current situation in Sudan. Ambassador Babiker Al-Siddiq Mohammed Al-Ameen, the Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told SUNA that the Assistant Undersecretary referred to the repeated tweets of Mr. Irfan on Twitter and their contents which are contrary to the established diplomatic norms and the principles of the sovereignty of equal countries on which the international rela-tions and the UN's international organization are based. The Assistant Undersecretary pointed out in particular, during the meeting, the incomplete facts presented by the British Ambassador about the circumstances of the sit-in in front of the Armed Forces' General Command, which was adopted by the British Foreign Office, for example they turned a blind eye to the fact that the Transitional Military Council has declared its readiness to negotiate without any preconditions.  The Assistant Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry pointed out during the meeting to the importance of working together - taking into account the common strategic interests of the two countries.
