Saleh calls for labor Ministry and SPA consensus on trade union laws

Khartoum, Nov.14 (SUNA) - The participants in the symposium on (trade unions Movement opportunities and challenges) which is organized by the Sudanese Professionals Association (SPA) and Al-Ayam Center for Cultural Studies have strongly criticized the Trade Unions Act which prepared by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development. Ustaz Mahgub Mohammed Saleh called for reaching a consensus on the two draft laws which were worked out by the Labor Ministry and the SPA in cooperation with Al-Ayam Center. In a paper he presented, at the symposium entitled "The Trade Union Opportunities and Challenges, Saleh said that the issue does not tolerate divisions, because most of the basics related to the establishment of union work were agreed upon and are included in international agreements and charters. Maulana, Omar Al-Farug has described the Institution Act which appeared for the first time in 1`971 as exceptional. IF/IF
