Dr. Idriss meets US Assistant Secretary of State

Khartoum, Sept 29 (SUNA) – The Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, D. Al-Hadi Idriss received, Wednesday, in the Republican Palace the visiting US Assistant Secretary of State, Bryan Hunt and reviewed with him the necessity for completion of the Transitional Period. Dr. Al-Hadi said in press statements that the visit of the US official came to check on the situation on the back ground of the recent coup attempt, pointing out that the US diplomat stressed the necessity for the unity of the partners of the Transitional Period despite the challenges facing Sudan. “The US official renewed his country’s support to democratic transition and implementation of Juba Peace Agreement” he said.
