Darfur Union in UK Announces its Rejection of Declaring Formation of RSF Militia Government
The Darfur Union in the United Kingdom has announced its categorical rejection of the announcement of the formation of Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia government under the umbrella of the so-called Ta'asis (Founding) Alliance. The union said, in a statement on Monday, that the individuals and entities mentioned in this council, headed by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemeidti) and his regional assistants, do not represent the people of Sudan. They are war criminals, perpetrators of genocide, and proxes of terrorism supported by foreign powers, particularly the mini-state of Abu Dhabi, which has directly contributed, with its weapons and resources, to the killing, rape, and forced displacement (IDPs) of millions of innocent civilians throughout Sudan, particularly in Darfur.
The statement added that this announcement was not a step towards peace, but rather a malicious propaganda campaign aimed at whitewashing crimes against humanity, presenting ethnic cleansing as "government," and deceiving the international community into granting legitimacy to a criminal militia entity. The Darfur Union statement described the council as a genocidal alliance of warlords, opportunists, and spies of foreign powers, and that its formation is an insult to every victim who has suffered the brutality of the rebel RSF militia, from the burned villages in West Darfur to the mass graves in El-Geneina, from the IDPs in Zamzam camp to the ongoing bombing of El-Fashir and the starvation of civilians, to the families still searching for their missing loved ones in Khartoum.
The statement called on the Sudanese diaspora, international human rights organizations, and world governments to reject this so-called council and stand with the victims, not the perpetrators.
