Al-Burhan, Erdoğan Hold Joint Talks on Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held joint talks on Thursday at the presidential palace, focusing on upgrading and developing bilateral relations and advancing prospects for cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
The two presidents discussed regional and international issues, particularly developments in the Middle East and the Horn of Africa.
The talks also addressed the latest situation in Sudan and ongoing efforts to achieve peace, alongside a review of regional and international initiatives aimed at restoring peace and stability in the country.
The discussions reaffirmed Turkey’s firm position in support of Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
They further reviewed Turkey’s readiness to provide all possible assistance to help Sudanese people cope with the current humanitarian conditions, notably through aid delivered by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in the field of humanitarian relief.
The talks also underscored the need to halt crimes committed against the Sudanese people and to hold those responsible to account.
Al-Burhan expressed his thanks and appreciation to Turkey for its supportive stances toward Sudan in regional and international forums, affirming the depth of Sudanese-Turkish relations. He also thanked President Erdoğan for inviting him to visit Turkey, pointing to the enduring ties that bind the peoples of the two countries.
