Joint Meeting between Energy and Foreign Ministers to Discuss Expanding Cooperation in Oil and Electricity

Minister of Energy, Engineer Al-Mua’tassim Ibrahim Ahmed, met with Foreign Minister Ambassador Mohi-Eddin Salim to discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the oil and electricity sectors.
The Minister of Energy highlighted efforts to expand cooperation with several countries in the energy and petroleum sectors. He noted that the Ministry has received expressions of desire from Turkish oil companies to invest in underdeveloped oil blocks, emphasizing that strengthened collaboration will enable Sudan to better leverage its natural resources. He also reaffirmed Sudan’s ongoing partnerships with China, India, Malaysia, and South Sudan.
