TSC President Al-Burhan: Campaign to Eliminate Rebel Militia Continues, No Negotiations with Insurgents

No Negotiations with InsurgentsPresident of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, reaffirmed the determination of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and allied units to decisively defeat the Dagalo militia, asserting that “the campaign to eliminate the rebel militia will continue to cleanse the country of the scourge of rebellion.”
Addressing a ceremony honoring former Chiefs of Staff and senior officers, the TSC President declared that there would be no negotiations with insurgents or those supporting and cooperating with them. He stressed that the Armed Forces are pressing ahead toward victory in fulfillment of the Sudanese people, who have endured the hardships and consequences of the conflict.
Al-Burhan stated that the Armed Forces will persist in their path of sacrifice and dedication, paying tribute to members of the military, other regular forces, supporting entities, and all fighters engaged in the “Battle of Dignity.”
He further commended the distinguished service of retired commanders, praising their significant contributions and the heroic roles they played in defending Sudan’s sovereignty and the dignity of its people. He noted that they had demonstrated exceptional resilience and steadfastness despite the complexities of the conflict, including sieges and bombardment, rising to the level of national responsibility.
For his part, TSC Member and Chief of Staff, General Yassir Abdelrahman Al-Atta, affirmed that the honorees embodied the highest values of courage and sacrifice, recording honorable positions through cohesion and coordination during the most challenging times. He described them as a solid shield for the nation and a fundamental pillar behind the Armed Forces’ victories nationwide.
The Chief of Staff reiterated the continuation and completion of the path toward victory and the extension of control over the entire national territory, including Om Dafog and Blue Nile, while commending the sacrifices and efforts of fighters across all fronts.
The ceremony honored former Chief of Staff General Mohamed Othman Al-Hussein, along with General Magdi Ibrahim Othman and General Engineer Khalid Abdeen Mohamed Ahmed Al-Shami, in addition to former Air Defense Forces Commander Lieutenant General Engineer Omar Saralkhatim.
