Sudanese, Hungarian Foreign Ministers Hold Bilateral Talks in Budapest

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mohy-Eddin Salim, held bilateral talks on Monday in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, with his Hungarian counterpart Péter Szijjártó. During the meeting, Minister Salim briefed the Hungarian side on the latest developments in Sudan and the ongoing efforts to contain and end the insurgency led by the terrorist militia.
The discussions covered Sudan’s position on peace initiatives, as well as the trajectory of bilateral relations and prospects for expanding cooperation between the two countries.
The Hungarian side expressed readiness to support Sudan in the fields of health, education, water treatment, and the rehabilitation of the railway sector. Hungary also welcomed enhanced cooperation on preventing illegal migration and combating terrorism.
Both ministers affirmed the importance of maintaining joint coordination at all levels to ensure the implementation and expansion of bilateral agreements, including the possibility of opening new avenues for investment.
