Hamdok Affirms Government Commitment to Solve Sudanese Expatriates’ Issues

Riyadh, Oct. 7 (SUNA) – Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdok, has affirmed the transitional government commitment to solve the obstacles facing the expatriates. During his meeting Sunday with the Sudanese community in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Hamdok has given a briefing on the positive developments taking place in Sudan, especially with regard to the openness of Sudan to the world. He also reviewed the ongoing efforts to achieve an inclusive and just peace in the country, stressing that peace is a priority of the transitional government. He renewed the transitional government commitment to punish the culprits who claimed lives of innocent people and to bring them to fair trials. At the meeting, the Prime Minister has heard a host of the Sudanese expatriates’ issues, top of them are the residence permits, rights of service, the education of their sons and their admission in the Sudanese universities and training for the Sudanese doctors who are working in Saudi Arabia. He asserted keenness of the transitional government to adopt a package of measures to attract the expatriates’ savings to contribute to enhancing the national economy. Dr. Hamdok has praised the experiences and skills of the Sudanese working abroad, stating that his government aims to benefit from their expertise in formulating and implementing pro-grams and projects in the coming period. He reiterated the government keenness to create an atmosphere that is favorable for attraction of investors, stressing that the government is engaged in serious efforts to realize civil service reform.
