Khartoum Oct 15 (SUNA) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Asma Abdalla, received at her office Tuesday the UNICEF representative, AbdAllah Fadul, and discussed the arrangements for the visit of the UNICEF Executive Director to Sudan during October 24 - 26. The UNICEF representative praised Sudan efforts in the field of children protection against recruitment and violations at the dispute and armed conflict areas. He stressed the importance of continuing efforts to ensure that Sudan, which has been given a six-month probation period, will not return to the list of countries recruiting children. The Foreign Minister has affirmed Sudan government commitment to all the international charters of child protection at the armed dispute areas and to prohibit children recruitment and exposing them to psychological or physical violations or employment, stressing the importance of coordination with the Ministry of Health.
