Prime Minister Holds Extensive Talks with His Egyptian Counterpart Affirms Strength of Bilateral Relations

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris has affirmed the depth and strength of bilateral relations between Sudan and Egypt, noting the commitment of the leadership of both countries to upholding all understandings and agreements that strengthen ties and reinforce the far-sighted and comprehensive vision agreed upon for the benefit of the future of the peoples of both countries.
Dr. Kamil Idris held a joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, on Thursday, addressing aspects of joint cooperation and the efforts of the leadership of the two countries to explore ways to deepen the long-standing strategic relations. An expanded session of talks was held, chaired by the two prime ministers, at the government headquarters in the administrative capital. Constructive understandings were reached on bilateral relations and international issues of concern to both countries.
The talks addressed joint cooperation in the field of development projects within the framework of integration and maximizing mutual benefit in diplomatic, political, and economic aspects. The Prime Minister expressed the Sudanese government's appreciation for Egypt's supportive stance toward the stability of Sudan, its people, and its territorial integrity. He hoped that the understandings reached would be implemented in the interest of both parties as soon as possible. Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly expressed his country's hope that Sudan would restore security and stability and overcome the crisis as soon as possible. He asserted Egypt's unwavering commitment, since the beginning of the crisis, to providing various forms of aid, support, and assistance to the Sudanese people who entered Egypt due to the war, based on the directives of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi.
President El-Sisi received Prime Minister Dr. Kamel Idris, in the presence of Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and delegations from both countries. Egyptian President underscored Egypt's firm and supportive stance toward Sudan's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He underlined Egypt's full support for all efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in Sudan and ending the current humanitarian suffering, while preserving the capabilities of the Sudanese people.
