Foreign Minister Receives Credentials of UN Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Sudan
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohy-Eddin Salim, received at his office the credentials of Ms. Denise Brown, the UN Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Sudan.
The Minister expressed the Sudanese government’s appreciation for the United Nations’ efforts in Sudan, particularly in providing humanitarian assistance to those in need and alleviating suffering caused by the war imposed on the Sudanese people. He affirmed the readiness of all state institutions to cooperate and coordinate with the UN Office in Sudan.
For her part, Ms. Brown expressed her great pleasure in working in Sudan, stating that she would work alongside the Sudanese government to provide assistance and mobilize the necessary support to meet the essential needs of those in need.
