Prime Minister Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Humanitarian Cooperation with Germany

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris reviewed Sunday at his office in Port Sudan with Minister of State at the German Federal Foreign Office, Ms. Serap Gülerwho, is on an official three-day visit to Sudan, the paths of cooperation and bilateral relations between the two countries.
The meeting touched on political and security developments in Sudan and the government’s efforts to consolidate stability, in addition to discussions on humanitarian assistance and support for reconstruction and development efforts. Dr. Kamil Idris expressed Sudan’s appreciation for Germany’s supportive stances, welcoming the enhancement of joint cooperation in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples.
For her part, the German State Minister for Foreign Affairs expressed appreciation for the Sudanese government’s efforts in facing current challenges, affirming Berlin’s desire to expand areas of political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation with Khartoum. The meeting took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere characterized by openness and candor. Both sides agreed to move forward in implementing a number of understandings and joint projects that would strengthen relations between Sudan and Germany.
