Interior Minister Discusses Resumption of Work of Humanitarian Organizations in Al Genaina

Al Genaina , Apr.15(SUNA)-The Minister of Interior , Gen. Izz-Eddin Al Sheikh discussed with representatives of the UN agencies and the voluntary organizations in Al- Genaina ways of provision of urgent humanitarian assistance to people affected by the Al Genaina recent incidents. The Minister committed during meeting with representatives of the UN agencies and the voluntary organizations in Al Genaina and presence of Wali (governor) of West Darfur State and the Humanitarian Aid Commissioner to provide guards for the organization and facilitate their movement. The Humanitarian Aid Commissioner in West Darfur, Omar Abdul Karim, told SUNA that a full briefing was presented to the Minister of Interior about the humanitarian situations and the displacement of 95,000 persons who have been used the government buildings shelters including women, children and elderly people. The Humanitarian Aid Commissioner urged the organizations to speed up provision of urgent humanitarian assistance to the affected people , particularly water , food and health services, calling on all components of the civil society to renounce violence and fighting and to work for patching social fabric and elevating values of reconciliation and peace Representatives of the UN agencies and the volutray organizations, for their part, stressed solidarity with governemnt of West Darfur State and provision of assistance for the affected people from all parties.
