Finance Ministry Logo
Khartoum, Nov. 6 (SUNA) - The official spokesman of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sharif, has announced continuation of work on preparing the state’s general budget for the year 2022, in coordination with ministries, government institutions and the states in accordance with the budget guidelines that were delivered to government units at the level of the center and states. The official spokesman of the Ministry of Finance affirmed that the new budget focuses on continuing to complete the economic reform program that has been implemented since 2020, and striking a balance between economic reform policies and addressing the social effects resulting from reform policies. The new budget is also distinguished from its predecessors by directing financial resources optimally to ensure the reduction of inflation, poverty and unemployment rates, provision of job opportunities for youth, improvement of people's living conditions and directing the economic and productive sectors to adopt an effective management to achieve economic stability. The spokesman of the Ministry of Finance said they look forward to preparing the new budget to reap the fruits of reintegration into the global economy and the flow of grants and loans after settling the debts of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the African Development Bank, and reaching the decision-point regarding writing off of Sudan's foreign debts according to the HIPC initiative.
