Sudanese businessmen lauds Egypt stance during floods crisis

Khartoum, Sep. 14 (SUNA) - The General Union of the Sudanese Businessmen and Employers Federation praised the Egyptian government’s efforts to support for the persons affected torrential rains and floods in all states of the country. The aid of the Egyptian government under the generous directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which arrived via a land bridge that included 90 trucks including more than a thousand tons of various foodstuffs, tents, medicines, mattresses, blankets and other materials. A press statement issued by the Federation today noted that the aid convoy that came in continuation of previous aid, expresses the concern and keenness of the leaderships of the two countries for joint cooperation in all fields and the countries' support in various times of crises in both countries, and it also expresses the unity of the peoples of the two countries and their aspirations to strengthening and developing joint cooperation relations. The statement revealed arrangements of the Sudanese Businessmen and Employers Federation to develop commercial and investment cooperation relations between the Sudanese and Egyptian private sectors for the economic and commercial importance between the two countries, through efforts to activate the work of the Sudanese-Egyptian Joint Businessmen Council to contribute to addressing the problems and challenges and facilitating the movement of trade, increasing investments and the volume of trade exchanges to create integrated strategic relations by benefiting from the economic resources, expertise and technology in the two countries to become a model for economic and trade cooperation relations with countries with special status with Sudan.
