Signatories of framework agreement and tripartite mechanism hold coordinative meeting

The signatories of the framework agreement and the tripartite mechanism held a meeting yesterday, at the UNTAMS mission headquarters in Khartoum.

The meeting which is a continuation to the ongoing work to complete the preparations for the discussions on the remaining four issues reviewed the perceptions of the working groups on issues of peace, the East and transitional justice, in terms of of expressing broadest base of stakeholders, and the development of comprehensive solutions to these issues, while a final meeting will be held thursday, in preparation for the start of the implementation of work on it, starting from next week, and to finish work on it few weeks.
Meanwhile, the Committee for Drafting the Recommendations of the Conference on the Roadmap for Renewing the Dismantling of the June 30 Regime continued its work in a meeting held today at the headquarters of the African Union.
The is working on drafting the recommendations of the conference in preparation for their publication and converting them into proposals for texts to be included in the final agreement and the roadmap for renewing the process during the transitional phase, including the necessary development of the law, institutions and procedures.
