As part of the preparatory meetings for the China-Africa Cooperation Forum Summit, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hassan Awad Ali, and Minister of Finance and National Economy, Dr. Gibril Ibrahim, are participating in the Ministerial Meeting of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, which is being held today Tuesday in Beijing, in the presence of African Foreign and Finance Ministers and their Chinese counterparts. The summit meetings will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
The summit meeting will be followed by a forum for Chinese-African businessmen on October 6, in the presence of Chinese and African leaderships, to discuss opportunities for expanding economic cooperation between China and African countries.
The summit will be a favorable opportunity for President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) to discuss with his Chinese counterpart the bilateral relations between the two countries, and Sudan's requirements at this critical stage of its history, in addition to strengthening coordination between the two leaderships. In the same context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet with his Chinese counterpart to review the relations between the two countries at their various levels and ways to strengthen them, and joint coordination between the two countries in regional and international positions and forums.
