More than 400 male and female students sit for the intermediate certificate exams in Khartoum Locality
The first session of the postponed intermediate certificate exams for the year 2024 began in Khartoum Locality today, Sunday, amid tight arrangements and organization under the supervision of relevant authorities.
The Executive Director of Khartoum Locality, Abdel-Moneim Al-Bashir, announced, after the start of the exams at the Zat Al-Nitagayn School in Al-Sahafa East and Al-Nour Khidr School in Al-Sajana, that (407) male and female students had sat for the exams, distributed across (9) centers in the locality. Al-Bashir confirmed that the exams are being conducted in a safe and stable environment, after students in the locality previously faced the threat of physical liquidation by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia if they left the locality to take exams in other states. He pointed to the exorbitant financial burdens incurred by some families to enroll their children in schools outside Khartoum or even abroad.
Al-Bashir commended the efforts of the Wali of Khartoum State and the Ministry of Education in their insistence on restoring normal life and resuming education in the state, following two years of suffering due to the militia's occupation of some of its localities. He also expressed his deep gratitude to the teachers and citizens who contributed to preparing the examination centers and providing a suitable environment to ensure the proper conduct of the examinations.
