Higher Education Ministry: More than 30,000 Students Apply Online to Universities on Fourth Day of Application
The General Administration for Electronic Applications to Sudanese Universities for the postponed batch of 2023 has unveiled that the number of students who applied by the fourth day of application had reached more than 30,000.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Mohamed Hassan Dahab, received a report from the General Administration of Information Technology and Networks, explaining the progress of the process on its fourth day, Wednesday, July 1. He expressed his satisfaction with the smooth and seamless application procedures on the website, appreciating the great efforts made by the technical teams and staff to ensure the continuity of work with high efficiency.
Professor Dahab also called on students and parents to carefully review the electronic guide and enter their preferences accurately, ensuring better chances of admission to the general admissions (first round). For his part, the Director General of the Ministry's General Administration of Information Technology and Networks, Dr. Engineer Babiker Hussein Ahmed, explained that the number of applicants as of the fourth day had reached 35% of the target number for admission in this phase. He noted that the report showed a significant increase in the number of applicants from Khartoum, Al-Gezira, and the Red Sea states, with expectations that this growth would continue in the coming days. In the same context, the Ministry reiterated its commitment to continuing to provide technical and advisory support to students through the late Adil Abdullah Musa Center for Support and Response, in addition to the electronic application centers spread across public and private higher education institutions across the country; as to ensure easy access to electronic services and an efficient application process.
It is worth noting that applications will continue until the evening of Sunday, July 6, 2025.
