Prime Minister Directs Simplification of Procedures at Passports and Civil Registry Administrations

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris has instructed the relevant authorities to ease and streamline all procedures related to issuing passports and official identification documents for citizens.
The directive came during his unannounced inspection visit on Tuesday to the Passports and Civil Registry Administrations in Port Sudan. During the visit, he met with the Head of the Passports and Civil Registry Directorate, Lt. Gen. Osman Mohamed Al-Hassan Denkawi; the Director of the General Administration of Passports, Maj. Gen. Abdul-Mahmoud Al-Awad Ali; and the Director of the General Administration of Civil Registry, Maj. Gen. Khojaly Khairallah Al-Amin.
Prime Minister assessed the workflow at the Port Sudan passport and civil registry compounds, asserting the commitment of the Government of Hope to identifying the key challenges affecting service delivery and addressing them in ways that enable state institutions to fully carry out their public service responsibilities. He also listened to citizens’ remarks and feedback regarding the level of services provided by the two departments. Citizens expressed full satisfaction with the smooth and efficient delivery of services. Dr. Kamil Idris praised the vital and ongoing role played by the Passports and Civil Registry Administrations in safeguarding Sudanese identity, despite the difficult circumstances and challenges facing the country.
For his part, Lt. Gen. Osman Mohamed Al-Hassan Denkawi, Head of the Passports and Civil Registry Directorate, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the Prime Minister’s visit, noting that it reflects the state’s through its senior leadership concern for citizens’ issues and needs. He reaffirmed the Directorate’s full commitment to enhancing the quality of services provided to the public.
