Prime Minister Reaffirms Sudan’s Commitment to Strengthening Relations with Norway

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris reaffirmed Sudan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Norway and building effective, sustainable partnerships between the two countries.
This came during his meeting today in his Port Sudan office with Norway’s State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Andreas Kravik, and his accompanying delegation. The discussion reviewed developments in Sudan, particularly the humanitarian situation in light of the crimes and violations committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister underscored Sudan’s full cooperation with international efforts aimed at delivering humanitarian assistance and achieving peace in a manner that safeguards the sovereignty and unity of Sudan.
For his part, the Norwegian State Secretary for Foreign Affairs affirmed Norway’s commitment to building effective relations with the Sudanese government that meet the aspirations of both peoples. He stated that the international community must condemn the atrocities and crimes committed against the Sudanese people and stressed the importance of ensuring accountability for the perpetrators.
