Prime Minister Meets DRC Foreign Minister in Munich

Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris met today with the Foreign Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ms. Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner, who leads her country’s delegation at the Munich Security Conference.
The Prime Minister highlighted the historical ties and shared interests between the two countries and congratulated the DRC on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. He updated the minister on Sudan’s situation, including the ongoing comprehensive aggression, and outlined the government’s efforts toward peace and stability, culminating in the peace initiative he presented to the Security Council last December.
Ms. Kayikwamba Wagner reaffirmed her country’s full support for Sudan’s unity, stability, and territorial integrity, and emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations. The Prime Minister extended an invitation to the DRC’s Prime Minister to visit Sudan.
