Foreign Minister Meets SDC Deputy Director-General

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohy-Eddin Salim, received Sunday at his office the Deputy Director-General of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Ambassador Dominic Stillhard, and his accompanying delegation. The visit aims to review the humanitarian situation in Sudan and gain insight into the Sudanese government’s vision for achieving peace.
During the meeting, the Swiss delegation head provided a detailed explanation of the visit’s objectives and the agency’s programs supporting humanitarian efforts, emphasizing Switzerland’s interest in monitoring humanitarian developments, assessing urgent needs, and strengthening cooperation with Sudan in this area.
For his part, the Foreign Minister welcomed the delegation and reviewed the Sudanese government’s efforts to facilitate humanitarian action. He also presented Sudan’s comprehensive vision for peace, including the government’s proposed roadmap aimed at enhancing stability and alleviating citizens’ suffering.
The Minister praised the constructive cooperation between Sudan and Switzerland and underscored the importance of continued joint coordination to serve the interests of the Sudanese people and support regional and international efforts toward achieving sustainable peace in Sudan.
