PM Calls for Establishing New Economic Partnerships

Prime Minister Kamil Idris chaired a meeting of the High Economic Committee on Sunday. The meeting was attended by relevant ministers, the Governor of the Bank of Sudan, stakeholders, and committee members.
During the meeting, Idris called for increased efforts and the strengthening and expansion of economic activity. He emphasized the importance of establishing new partnerships that align with the aspirations of the “Government of Hope” and meet the expectations for the next phase. Idris listened to detailed reports from committee members on economic performance and programs implemented during the past period, in addition to plans proposed for implementation in the next phase.
The Prime Minister commended the efforts made, affirming that what has been achieved represents a significant step in the path of reform and supporting the national economy.
Last August, the Sudanese government decided to form an Economic Emergency Committee, chaired by the Prime Minister, to oversee the implementation of several economic reforms aimed at stabilizing the national economy and strengthening the exchange rate of the national currency, in light of the current economic challenges.
