TSC President Affirms Sudan’s Commitment to Developing and Enhancing Relations with Nigeria

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, met with Sudan’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mohamed Abdel-Aal, in the presence of Foreign Minister Ambassador Mohy-Eddin Salim, ahead of the ambassador’s assumption of his duties.
Following the meeting, the ambassador stated that he was honoured to meet the TSC President, noting that he had listened to his guidance, advice, and recommendation, which will form a roadmap for his diplomatic mission in Nigeria.
The ambassador affirmed his determination to exert maximum effort and work continuously to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries across all fields, saying: “I will spare no effort to enhance bilateral relations and consolidate ties with the Federal Republic of Nigeria, given its strategic weight as Africa’s largest country and its recognized regional and international influence.”
He also highlighted that Sudan and Nigeria share deep-rooted and historical relations, noting that his priorities in the coming period will focus on revitalizing, developing, and activating these relations in various sectors, as well as leveraging Nigeria’s international standing to support Sudan’s causes.
