Addressing 34th Arab Summit, Jabir affirms Sudan's commitment to implementing the roadmap it presented to UN and mediators on Sudan, and its firm position on establishing a Palestinian state
Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Jabir affirmed Sudan's firm position on the Palestinian cause, calling for the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. He also affirmed Sudan's rejection of all forms of exiling and violations of international law to which the brotherly Palestinian people are subjected. During Sudan's speech delivered before the (34) Ordinary Arab Summit in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, His Excellency stressed the need to adhere to the principles of joint Arab action and strengthen positions to achieve the aspirations of the people.
TSC member affirmed the Sudanese government's commitment to implementing the roadmap presented to the United Nations and mediators, which includes a ceasefire, the withdrawal of militias from all areas and cities, the lifting of the siege on El-Fashir, the return of displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees, facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid, resuming the transitional political process, and conducting an inclusive Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue that will pave the way for elections. Jabir called for effective participation in supporting Sudanese national solutions, which will lead to a sustainable peace whose impact will extend to the entire region. He also appealed for contributions to the reconstruction of Sudan and the rehabilitation of infrastructure.
