Prime Minister Visits University of Gezira
Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris has affirmed the significant role expected from the University of Gezira in reconstruction, development, and the revival of the Gezira Project, as well as in bridging the food gap through its scientific capacities. He expressed his delight at visiting what he described as a fortress of knowledge.
For his part, Professor Salah Al-Din Mohamed Al-Arabi, Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the University of Gezira, voiced his happiness with the Prime Minister’s visit Saturday, announcing that the university has recovered by 70%. He further revealed that the coming days will witness the start of celebrations marking the golden jubilee of the University of Gezira.
Meanwhile, Al-Tahir Ibrahim Al-Kheir, Wali (governor) of Gezira State, declared that universities in the state serve as a fundamental reference for the state government in its plans, programs, and decisions.
