Sudan Electricity Holding Company DG Meets International Solar Alliance Chief
The Director General of Sudan Electricity Holding Company, Engineer Abdullah Ahmed Mohamed Ali, met with Mr. Ashish Khanna, Director General of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), in the Ghanaian capital Accra on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Ghariballah Khidir, Head of Mission, Engineer Yassir Abdullah Saeed, Director of the Renewable Energies Department at the Holding Company, and Embassy Counselor Ibrahim Abdelgader.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of Sudan’s participation in the 7th African Regional Committee meeting of the ISA, discussed aspects of cooperation between Sudan and the Alliance in the field of solar energy. For his part, the Director General of the International Solar Alliance affirmed the Alliance’s commitment to continue supporting Sudan in all areas related to solar energy, including project financing, training, capacity-building, and supporting specialized centers.
