Justice Minister Hails Interior Ministry’s Efforts in Maintaining Security
Minister of Justice Dr. Abdullah Dirif discussed Wednesday with Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. (Police) Babiker Samra Mustafa, the proposed amendments to the Constitutional Document and related laws concerning the Interior Ministry and its affiliated forces.
Dr. Dirif affirmed that the amendments would be submitted to the Cabinet and subsequently to the Transitional Legislative Authority, stressing that they will enhance the efficiency of the Ministry and its forces in carrying out their duties effectively. He praised the Interior Ministry’s efforts in maintaining security in Khartoum State and other states, underlining the importance of supporting the Ministry during this critical stage. For his part, the Minister of Interior expressed appreciation for the Ministry of Justice’s understanding and readiness to address key files, particularly issues related to inmates and relevant laws, voicing hope that the meeting will yield positive outcomes for the nation and its citizens.
